Building the DIYstreetview van

Building the DIYstreetview van

Hi all,

here I was thinking about a fancy magnet rack to attach the P-360M25 to the rooftop of my car.

Well, it would have been 100 Euro for the ski-rack for the magnets and some more for a box to house the cables.
Also it is summer in Germany and ski-racks are not easy to come by.
So I went for a different approach to get my prototype going. Promise not to lough:

Tadaaa, i present the DIYstreetview van:

Yes, its a cardboard box.
I stuffed it with styrofoam to make it sturdier, then tied it to the car using a cord. A makeshift tightener inside the car turned out to be the key to success.

To my surprise all worked extremely well.
Next week I will get a sturdy plastic box and a professional strap set, and that's it.

Find my workflow and lots of panoramas and a time-lap video of my first streetview recording here
I stopped a few times during recording, and it looks like the video is over. Don't get fooled!

I am looking for help with actionscript to put free and open-source panosalado flash viewer to use.
